Does app script access is required to use "reload data" action in button chart?

Hello Community,

I have a requirement where end users need access to reload the app from hub using a button in published app. In Qlik Sense, we have "Reload Data" action available in button chart. The reload action works if user is the owner of the application and no script is exposed from the data load editor. However, if a non owner of the application tries to reload the app, an "access denied" error occurs.

For this, it is clear that, we need to setup the security rule. As per solution provided in the community - https://community.qlik.com/t5/Deployment-Management/Security-Rule-to-allow-users-to-reload-published... , I have enabled the rule. In this case, non owner can also reload the app and no error. However, the script is exposed the users and users can edit the script which is concerning.

I have tried multiple rules combination by disabling the script access, but every time got the same "access denied" error. So, it seems like that script access is required to reload the app from hub using the button. But then question is, how come owner of the app can reload the app and still the script is not accessible to the user.

Kindly provide any inputs if possible.

Thanks.
