Insights Advisor after app is published

Dear Qlik Team,

Thanks for the wonderful new additions to the June 2018 Qlik Sense Enterprise release. One thing which I noticed was the Insights Advisor is available only for unpublished applications.

While this is a great thing, in practical scenarios where IT team does the data modelling and can then extend model to end users for self-service, When I opened a published application, the insight advisor was not available.

Can we expect this to be available as part of road-map. It will be wonderful is business can get access to insight advisor when they create their own sheets in a published app.
Thanks,
Ganapati

Hi Ganapati,

This feature was released in our September 2018 version of Qlik Sense.

It is part of the roadmap - most likely later part of this year (latest would be early next year).

I have question. How to disable Insights Advisor for published apps.

In QS September Insights Advisor avalable in published apps too

I'm also interested in the same thing.

I have a requirement to implement thresholds below which data is suppressed for privacy reasons. This can be managed through carefully created expressions and disabling Edit capabilities. However the Insights Advisor can build its own expressions (even a simple count or sum is potentially a problem) which bypass the privacy rules.

Ideally this would be a flag globally or per app (published or unpublished).  This should be documented as well.

Currently the approach would be to include this in your script for the app where you don't want IA enabled:

SET DISABLE_INSIGHTS;

And Insights will not show up in published apps.

Hi Arthur.

Just check it. Edit Script Add SET DISABLE_INSIGHTS; Reload Apps. Publish App. Open published app and Insights still avalable.

Alexander,

Can you send me the script of the set commands in your script?

Hi All!

I added string

SET DISABLE_INSIGHTS = 1;

into load script.

And it works, Insights Advisor doesn't appear.

Hey all,

I did insert the string

SET DISABLE_INSIGHTS = 1;

into the load script and that did take it away. The question I have now is, how can you turn it back on?

I have deleted that from the script, changed the 1 to a 0, changed DISABLE to ENABLE and none of those have got Insight Advisor to come back.
