What should be a typical Development server configuration?

We have a Development Server with below configuration in place, but we are not able to extensively use Dev Server as we cannot fully test an application of more than 1GB to 3GB size. And we have around 5 Developers and 10 Analysts. We do have a licensed Qlik Sense Enterprise for windows with Multi node architecture for load balancing and 2 separate servers for Extraction/Scheduler.

Current Dev Server Configuration:

Instance size

: c5a.4xlarge

RAM size

: 32GB

ROM size

: 500GB [C Drive: 100GB; D Drive:400GB]

We want these users to stop using Production server for Development and make use of Development server. And current Dev server configuration doesn't suffice. Please provide an apt config for Dev server.

Hi @Suryank_Singh13

Considere that a 3GB app will consume almost all you RAM for 1 user
depending on how optimized the app is, it can occupy near 8 times its size in RAM and 10% more for each user who accesses it.
Add to this that the developer usually keeps a copy for test a dev.

Take a look to this Deployment Scenarios

here you will find and excel file for qlikview that can help you check the resources you will need.

i would go for a multi node configuration, one for scheduler (could be same resources you mentioned) and another for consumer (i would double the RAM)

Hope this helps.
