Suggest an Idea

In Qlik Sense, there are situations where one has a long list of items (say Brands, or SKUs) initially displayed in a line chart and when you filter them down, the colors don't get re-assigned which leads to the filtered chart showing several lines in the same color. This is a known limitation, however, it has quite a big impact on certain Dashboard designs.

There is color by rank, however, that work around has problems with displaying a legend and is quite rigid when you consider all the possible combination of filters possible.

The idea is for QS to be able to re-assign colors in a line chart on the fly as the data filter selection change.

Hi Meghann,

thanks for your suggestion. This does not really cover it as my suggestion is related to Line Charts and the fact that upon filtering, the colours get re-calculated.

Ideas are more likely to move forward when there is more support, which is why we keep only 1 post per idea. I can move this through anyway if you belive it is still unique.

Hi @Patric_Nordstrom 

Could you please advise why we cannot disable persistent colors in line chart. The checkbox is disabled, not sure if I am missing something. I want to color by 2nd dimension but the color order is not as per my theme colors, I think its because of persistent colors. I feel disabling persistent color will solve my problem.
