So far it is not possible to fetch data from an FTP server when using Qlik Sense Business, i.e. in the Cloud environment. The Qlik FTP/SFTP connector uses localhost in the url to find the respective file, which does not work in the cloud because localhost does not exist in that context. However, there are situations where companies only allow to fetch data from FTP servers. Therefore, I suggest to add this option.

I'll let someone from Qlik chip in here - but my understanding is we should see the new connector released in Qlik SaaS by end Feb or early March (The early access program is pencilled for this week - so maybe 4 to 6 weeks after that for general release assuming all goes smoothly).

Yes, that's correct the target is to have the new SFTP Connector deployed in Qlik Sense SaaS by end of February (or worst case early March).

Yes! The new SFTP file location connector was released in Qlik Sense Cloud yesterday, and it will be included in the Qlik Sense client-managed release in May 2023.

Hi @scottduthie indeed, however FTP(S) is still not available only SFTP.

So now I need to workaround with automations to move data around from FTP to Onedrive to be able to get it in Qlik Sense.

Ahh I see - apologies - assumed you were meaning SFTP. Do you know if further development for FTP(S) is in the pipeline?

At least we now have SFTP - this was a big blocker for us on many projects.
