We would like to have a new alerting option/s for hung tasks for Enterprise Manager.
A few suggestions:
Have an alert for a duration of time of complete inactivity (e.g. There are no events or changes in metrics on a task for x hours)
Have an alert to show the number of times a task has done a full load over a duration of time (e.g. A task has not been started more than x times in y hours)
Other ways to use the Analytics database to show “significant” changes in tasks (% of change records)
These alerts will help us proactively identify issues with Replicate tasks.
Thank you for the input. We will definitely consider for a future release. In the meantime, we will leave this issue open to collect feedback from others.
We also have similar issue (being as user of replicate from 2016), where Task is Green but not reading or writing any changes and writes 'Task is running' message in logs . Qlik never addressed it . Until data stewards come back saying that they are not receiving any data we don't have a way to find out
