Hi qlik team,

In QlikView it was possible to specify that the bookmark be on top of the current selection. 

This functionality made bookmarks more dynamic and really opened up a lot of options for our users. They are really missing this when using Qlik Sense, and it would allow us a lot of flexibility in our app. It could help us with initial selections when the user opens the app, permit our users to use default bookmarks that can update the different date fields, and really augment the user experience by making complex comparisons by simply applying bookmarks.

A bookmark should also be able to override the existing selection. Currently this does not work in the following use case:

We have a dynamic bookmark {<Monat={"=Monat<month(now())"}>}. If I select only one Month like January make my analyses and after that I click on the bookmark, the selection of the month don't change.

I see two option, one is of course just  additionally option "apply on top of current selection" from right mouse key. The second one is by using Lock functionality, bookmarks shouldn't unlock already locked selection.  (Probably the second solution is easier to implement)

With 65 likes, I hope this feature will be available soon.

My use case is : I created butons YTD, MTH and 12RM (because we can't select YTD or 12RM in the calendar extension), I want to apply bookmark when the user click on the buton.

I can't do that without this feature 🙂

+1 One of the feature that is missing from QV. It is easier to apply the bookmark selection on top of the current selection than re-selecting everything again after applying bookmark.
