As a tenant admin I can't edit existing connections created by another user.

Hi Qlik,

According to your colleagues at support and R&D it's intended behaviour that a tenant admin in the Qlik Sense Enterprise Cloud solution can't edit an existing connection that has been created by a colleague, another user.
This due to "security reasons".

They adviced me to submit a feature request in the following support request: 02138403 - I NEED TO EDIT A CONNECTION CREATED BY MY COLLEAGUE WHO'S AUTOMATICALLY BECOME THE OWNER AFTER HE CREATED THE CONNECTION.

I need to recreate all connections created by the other user and change all apps that these connections are used.

So I can delete a connection when I'm a tenant admin, I can create a new connection and I can access all the data in the new connection that's the same as the existing connection which I can't edit.
What are the "security reasons" that are preventing me to edit an existing connection?

Kind regards,

Sebb

Hi @SBDataspark , sorry to hear about that. I will check with the Product Manager as to whether this is an intended security rule and they will get back to you.

I've been bitten by this one too. "Intended behaviour", even after the user who created it had been deleted.

Hello,

Urgent for us too, as a tenant admin I need to modify data connections created by others users.

Example : I create a data connection to Sharepoint, it is used by all Qlik developpers of our Group, when the token expire, only me can update this connection (if I'm not in vacation...), the others tenant admin can't modify it.

If we could change the owner of a data connection like an application it could be ok too.

It looks like you can now move a data connection.  If you move it into your personal space it will then make you the owner, you can then move it back to the original space.  Not as quick and easy as having a "Change Owner" option, but at least there is a workaround
