Create a single Story from multiple apps

Hi,

Today, the story are built from any snapshot wich come from the same app.

We should create a Story App, wich only contains the snapshots you taken from any app. If you choose the Goto Resource link the original app would be opened like today.

It´s enable all the users to create a book of results from many apps.

Tks,

Pedro

Thank you for your feedback on ways to improve our product. While this is something we understand would be useful, it's not on the short-term roadmap. Please continue to show your support for this idea.

Thanks,

Patric

I think this would be a very useful improvement as you could have  for example, a single training/information app within a stream which pulls in snapshots from all the other apps, and explains to users in a single place how these apps work and what they show.

Hi @Patric_Nordstrom

Another way to think about it is when a corporate board wanna obtain information about many departments. The board analyst could open the detailed dashboards from any department, take snapshots and create a single history... or he can ask from departments to take theirs snapshots, publish it and he can use in his story.

Well, our approach for now is create a single executive dashboard or a mult app mashup... both needs more technical skills and in most of cases contains only agreggated information.

Using Stories is much simple than this alternatives, expand the business vision and enable the board to go deeper in their analysis.

I also think such feature would definitely help us. Especially for top management users that want to see key features from many divisions or departments.

As it is right now, a user that needs info from 5 different departments that have 5 different apps has to go to each app to download desired graphs or tables, combining them into a presentation using PPT or something..  Having the option to save snapshots into a "master gallery" - creating a story using the snapshots from various application would be amazing addition.

It is very complicated right now and building mashups or creating master applications, that have basically duplicated content from already existing apps is not an ideal way  at all.

This would be a really useful feature. One of the big restrictions on Qlik Sense is the lack of ability to link across apps. Storytelling seems like a really easy place to start this. Any Exec story typically will cut across multiple apps. You are cutting off one of the most strategic user groups from this tool as you cant service their needs.
