Enhance Data Mart to adjust tables for new columns. Seems warehouse supports this but not marts. The reason this is important for us is because we expect to continually release new attributes to marts with each version our of core project. In addition, clients will be customizing their marts with new attributes. We prefer Attunity to handle it instead of needing a process to run DB scripts to adjust accordingly before validating the project.
Below are two use cases I ran.
Use Case 1:
- Edit mart and add custom field
- Mart will not be adjusted. Why?
- Expected it to add column and leave all rows null. Optionally, user can be asked to set a default value or run the associated function in the field (if one exists).
- I understand my options are (1) Drop/ Recreate or (2) adjust through SQL scripts
- Dim_CS_BROKER
Column Name: new_1
Dimension Name: Dim_CS_BROKER
Dimension column will be added (Cannot be adjusted)
