Export Automations into a file

Exporting Automations into a file of some format like .qaa, equivalent to .qvf, .qvw and .qvd . With this we could store, backup and maybe version control of automations and also facilitate distribution of highly developed automations on the same (not as templates) or across tenants.

Hi @acgomes , 

In the course of next week, we'll be releasing new blocks in the Qlik Cloud Services connector that will allow you to export & import automations from JSON files. We'll also write a how-to article on using this for versioning with GitHub.

Automations can be exported to a json file: https://community.qlik.com/t5/Official-Support-Articles/How-to-import-and-export-automations/ta-p/17...

We also released included the Automation API as blocks in the Qlik Cloud connector, so you can use an automation to version control to e.g. github. You can find 2 templates of this in our template picker, released yesterday:
