Exporting a Story to PPT/PDF with Selections made on Active Embedded sheet of a Story

Active Selections from sheet embedded into Story are not exported to PDF/PPT.  we can only see the selections applied before embedding the sheet but not the selections made from Story on a Active sheet. It would be  logical & nice feature to have as many users are looking for it.

@maditre1   Agreed. I would also like the ability to make selections while in story mode, export that slide to a PPT and have it maintain the selections. There is very little use in exporting an embedded sheet without selections applied.

Story Exports not keeping selections

Are you using Stories in a presentation/group forum? Or as a replacement for a standard, pre-formatted report that users access and want to add their filter and export?

@Andrew_Kruger I have some customers that asking this.

They would like to export the story in ppt/pdf format with some specific selection and filters applied.

The goal is to share it with some stakeholders.

Hello @Andrew_Kruger the user case I'd like for this functionality is we have an app with 4 sheets which we need to export to a single pdf (from Qlik Sense SAAS), but without nprinting available at current users have to:

filter the sheets,

embed them in a story,

export to pdf,

delete the sheets from the story,

go back to the sheets,

update the filters,

add the sheets back into the story,

export to pdf, and repeat...

Is there any way we could streamline this process or are we doing this the best way possible with current functionality?

Have a look at the latest update to Qlik Cloud self-service reporting here https://community.qlik.com/t5/Reporting-Service/Multi-page-subscriptions-amp-Burst-reports-to-ShareP...

@jjdench  I believe this should better support your reporting flow.
