Feature to view Load editor without changing the owner

Currently, on the owner of the app in shared space will be able to view the load editor. But if there are more than one user, then we need to change the owner of the application each and every time. So, it will be great if the user of that particular space with edit rights (Can Edit permission) can view and edit the script.

@Ian_Crosland  Any updates on when this may go into development?

@Ian_Crosland  This would be extremely useful and reduce the foot print as we make numerous copies to collaborate with the team .  Please can you let us know when this is scheduled for?

Hi all, we are about to deliver as slice one within this project the ability to store versions of your script and commit those. In other words an embedded versioning within the DLE. It’s currently scheduled for the 6th of December 2022.

After that, and already in development, we will deliver the ability to edit the script as a non App owner. The “can edit” permission in a shared space will allow you to do that. It will be one user at a time and by doing that the DLE will be locked by the current editor. Others will see who is currently editing the script.

The embedded versioning capability will be possible to be used across all developers with can edit. I’ll share more content about that one soon.

The true Co Development capability is in development right now and currently scheduled for Q1 / 23 to be released into our Qlik Sense SaaS Platform.

Regards,

Thomas

Just adding that the script history slipped one week. Planned for a release now on Dec 13th, which stays to be slice one of the whole delivery. The Co Development is early 2023 as mentioned earlier.
