Similar to Measures, it would be helpful if  we have Formatting options for Dimensions as well. When you have a Date Dimension, you need to create calculated Dimensions such as Year - Month, Month - Year etc. to show in various charts. If Formatting option would be available, we could get away with just one Date Field by changing the format.

@SubbuAcharya I understand the ask but there is point in splitting up the date into different fields such as year, quarter, month, weekday. That allows for the associate experience and slice and dice the data in flexible manner. Sense creates a master calendar automatically when importing data, can also be customized.
