I have the same exact issue as outlined above. This is a chart that could become very useful and we have a very good use-case for it at my organisation, but we are not using it for the issues flagged above (colors are not persistent or customisable, they don't take the colors set in master dimensions, no legend).
Fixing these quick things could make it a very valuable chart that people and companies could actually use

Thank you

I am currently doing some work on this extension. Edge arrows have been added so far, see https://community.qlik.com/t5/Suggest-an-Idea/Arrows-for-network-chart/idc-p/1828506#M7021

The extension in it’s current state is simply not designed to provide consistent colors.

If we want persistent colors I can see two options:

1. Use the “group” feature and then assign a color to each group. Pretty sure some coding will be required for this to work well.

2. Set the color of each node individually. This would give complete control over the color (and other attributes!) of all nodes and edges. The downside would be that it’s more complex to set up for the developers.

I am leaning towards implementing option 2 above, but I’m certainly open for other ideas and suggestions.

The suggestion for control of node and edge colour certainly gets my vote.

My use case involves identifying lapsed staff registrations (green - ok; amber - pending; red - expired).

I can show this very well in a table, but that doesn't bring the staff network / relationships to life.

An enhanced network chart would absolutely rock both requirements.

I also agree with @siminaubert  I have the same issues which render the chart pretty useless to the end user

Has this one made it onto the roadmap yet?

One extra feature ( colour by dimension/measure/expression ) would make this a truly useful chart type.

Right now the lack of control is what's limiting, especially for Qualitative  / Categorical data.

BTW    - if Qlik could do 1 % of what this app could do, it'd go a LONG way towards helping visualise graph/node/network data.

@simonaubert   - I've given it a like - I've had to re-register again so not sure if it counts yet. 😄
