New license to add sheets and charts to published applications (Qlik Sense)

Qlik Sense only offers two types of licenses, Professional and Analyzer licenses.
The Professional license allows us to do whatever we want, but the Analyzer license does not allow us to change or add any charts at all.

But, in fact, in my organization, there is a lot of need to change or add charts to published applications by themselves. And they don't need the capability to create/modify data models.

In the Professional License, the user can copy or add a sheet with some charts using Master Items to the published application. Release this feature as a new license (let's call it the "Application Editing License").

If the new license can be offered at a lower fee than the Professional license, I believe it will not only meet the needs of many users, but will also have a positive impact on data governance and give Qlik a competitive advantage.

Thanks in advance.

Hi @M_Ogimoto and thanks a lot for sharing the idea with us. We are actually working on a very similar process as we speak for our QSE SaaS offering. Today you can already allow users to "contribute" to Apps in a Managed Space. This is not very different today from how it works in QSE Client Managed (On Premise / Windows) as you need a professional license for that as well. But early 2021 we will start to introduce new security roles to QSE SaaS where you will be able to start defining global permissions. One of the roles we are considering is the ability to allow people to create or not to create content in personal Spaces and then only editing Apps if they are invited to a Shared Space or if they are assigned with the role to create Shared Spaces. This will introduce the governance your are referring to as well.

Let me / us know if you have more questions.

Best regards,

Thomas

Hey @Thomas_Hopp ,
if you'll introduce "only" new security roles then the licenses will be the same as today (so Professional/Analyzer)?
