With QlikView 2017 and beyond, there is a way to place "governance" around the Send to Excel feature.
There is a way to limit the
Export time and/or the Amount of memory consumed in the QlikView settings.ini file:
QvExportTimeLimitSec
QvExportMemoryLimitMB
Send to Excel can be quite resource intensive, depending on what the customer is selecting.
The limitations are helpful but it would be of great advantage if there is a way to also get the size of the Export being done in the QlikView audit log.
QlikView administrators are not sure how large the exports are that are being performed by their customers.
