Per Qlik Support Case 02172580, I think it would be good if we could auto assign certain Managed Spaces to a new user. We can auto assign them an analyzer license, but we must find out once they have logged in to then grant access to a space. This initial log in is clunky and discouraging to a new user of Qlik. The workaround is to log in as them and then grant access, but using their account is also tedious for every user. Our Qlik SaaS environment is connected with an Azure AD.
If you're using Azure AD, then you can set up groups to come through as part of the IdP setup (see here). You can assign users to groups in Azure AD and then assign the group access to the space...
That's pretty much the same as you do it in Qlik Sense on prem.
We have clients who want to add their customers to their platform.
We currently give them an analyser license with he auto assign function, but they we have to add them manually to the space.
This does not help for the user experience. The customer now have to login the Tenant environment, create an account and wait until our client can add the newly created account to the correct space.
In my believe this should be automated, even for clients without an AD.
It is a quite common use case to have at least one app that is shared by the entire company (eg.: Sales Flash Report). For this reason, the ability to assign spaces automatically for every tenant user would be very interesting. From a different point of view, many of our clients are SMB, or departments from big companies. Depending on a secondary IAM tool to manage groups unnecessarily increases user management overhead.
