Suggest an Idea

Hello,

I'm evaluating the new sparline option in Qlik Sense June 2020. So here a few suggestions about coloring :

-coloring by measure master item segments

-coloring by dimension of the sparkline master item.

-coloring by a field of the table (either native or master item). e.g : I have the field country in my table. I want blue sparkline for France, green for Germany, purple for Italy..

That would help a lot to have consistent colors between chart.

Before we move this idea through to the next stage, I need some clarification according to the Idea submission guidelines, which require only 1 idea per post to be submitted. 

In addition, please search for existing idea posts before including them in your post and support those with likes and comments.

You can color with a custom expression which may solve your problem.

Hello Meghann,

Well the idea you mention is another one of my own ideas about network chart, while this one is about sparkline. Qlik always forget to include this color by master item on new chart, so I have to write an idea every time there is a new chart.

On a sparkline?  O_o

Here a screenshot from the sparkline presentation, there is nowhere where we can put an expression. However, it makes no sense to have charts that takes color from master item and others not. This should be a standard behaviour.

Thank you for your feedback on ways to improve our product. Table sparklines are small objects, the color options are fewer to highlight the essential, increase performance and reduce the clutter. In QV the sparkline coloring is very similar.

While this is something we understand could be useful, it's not on the short-term roadmap. Please continue to show your support for this idea.
