Table and Pivot Table options without edit mode

I think a good visualizations improvement would be the ability to change table options without using the edit mode. I'm talking about show totals for instance. It wolud be great because we could create a generic object and get the user the chance of  show or hide columns plus activate or deactivate totals with the cheaper licence and without knowing much more about publishing or unpublishing apps or sheets.

Agreed. We have several times had to program our own pivot extensions, because we don't want the user to have all the flexibility.  Its is very useful when needed. But sometimes not wanted. (For a number of reasons.)

I think it could have the user options like bar chart does. It would be more user friendly and we would still maintain the control by limiting the columns options that we give to the users.
