How to Find Mandatory Technical Information for QlikView Support Cases

If you're looking for help with obtaining technical information for QlikView, continue by reviewing this article. 

This information must include the following details:

  • Windows version
  • CPU architecture (32 or 64)
  • QlikView version
  • CPU and RAM setup
  • License Key

The technical information can be provided to QlikView Support through the client-side Document Support Information (DSI) and server-side System Information. Below are guidelines on how to find the details in QlikView Server, Plugin or Desktop.


NOTE:
Technical information must be provided for all server and client(s) involved in the support case scenario.

 

 

QlikView Server - System Information

  1. Open QlikView Management Console
  2. Go to System > About
  3. Click More details to expand all info
  4. Mark all info below the Less details link
  5. Press Ctrl + C OR Right click on the selection and select Copy
  6. Open a text editor, for example Notepad
  7. Paste the copied info, for example with Ctrl+V
  8. Save the text file and attach to the support case

QlikView Desktop Client - Document Support Information (DSI)

  1. Open QlikView desktop client
  2. Open the document related to the support case 
  3. Go to Help > Document Support Info... OR press Ctrl + Shift + Q 
  4. Click Copy to Clipboard
  5. Open a text editor, for example Notepad
  6. Paste the copied info, for example with Ctrl+V
  7. Save the text file and attach to the support case

QlikView Internet Explorer plugin - Document Support Information (DSI)

  1. Open Internet Explorer
  2. Go to QlikView access point 
  3. Open the document related to the support case in Internet Explorer Plugin (IE Plugin)
  4. Go to Menu > Document Support Info... OR press Ctrl + Shift + Q
  5. Click Copy to Clipboard
  6. Open a text editor, for example Notepad
  7. Paste the copied info, for example with Ctrl+V
  8. Save the text file and attach to the support case

QlikView Full Internet Version (AJAX client) - Document Support Information (DSI)

  1. Open internet browser
  2. Go to QlikView access point 
  3. Open the document related to the support case in Full Internet Version (AJAX client)
  4. Go to More > Document Support Info...
  5. Click on the text in the Document Support Information popup
  6. Press Ctrl + A to highlight all text in the popup
  7. Press Ctrl + C to copy the highlighted text
  8. Open a text editor, for example Notepad
  9. Paste the copied info, for example with Ctrl+V
  10. Save the text file and attach to the support case
