Single Sign-On for Microsoft SQL Server is introduced in Qlik Sense February 2018.
Instruction to set up this feature can be found on Qlik help site.

This article demonstrates an example following the instruction, including a step-by-step guide and some configuration notes.

Environment:

  • Qlik Sense February Enterprise on Windows any version

Limitation:

  • When using SSO data connection, the connection is done as "current user". When doing reload in HUB > Script Editor, current user is the logged in user. But when doing reload from QMC or via Tasks, current user is INTERNAL\SA_SCHEDULER.
  • As a limitation, SSO data connections may only be used in manual reload but not in QMC or Task reload.
