Hello Qlik Users!

I hope you are all doing well!

Yesterday, I blogged the new releases for Qlik Sense Patch Wednesday. After the announcement, a few users reported an error when installing Qlik Sense June 2020 Patch 1. Users have reported the following error:

Update failed: Ensure that Qlik Sense June 2020 is installed before you install Qlik Sense June 2020 Patch 1.

Qlik Support and R&D investigated the issue and it was found that the Qlik Sense June 2020 GA installer had the incorrect build number, causing June 2020 Patch 1 to error out during the installation. The Qlik Sense June 2020 GA installer with the correct build number is now available on the Qlik download site.

For those that have Qlik Sense June 2020 GA version 13.82.3 installed, please download the new Qlik Sense June 2020 Patch 1. This new patch will allow you to upgrade version 13.82.3 to 13.82.6 instead of having to uninstall/reinstall the GA release.

As with all software, please follow best practices when installing and/or upgrading by backing up your Qlik Sense environment and testing in a QA environment first. For more guidance on installing Qlik Sense, see the Qlik Sense Installation Guide. upgrade, see the Qlik Sense Upgrade guide. This guide was put together by the Qlik Digital Support team and offers step-by-step instructions, pictures and troubleshooting tips.

We apologize for any inconvenience this issue causes.

@Digvijay_Singh Do you mind creating a separate thread for this issue ? This issue is unrelated to the blog post and it will also get better traction as a Community thread and we can dive deeper into troubleshooting. Thank you.

I have another interesting issue. I have been able to install Patch 1 with this version http://da3hntz84uekx.cloudfront.net/Customer%20Builds/QSEJune2020Patch1_13_82_3to13_82_6/Qlik_Sense_... from 13.82.3 to 13.82.6.

But if I check MS Control Panel the version number is not updated:

Checking the version in Qlik Sense Hub:

It looks all right to me. So far I could not detect any issue in functionality. But I am not sure if this might cause problems with future patches or updates.

@abock  Thank you for let us know about this, we will pass it along with R&D team.
You do not need to worry about updating, our R&D team is working on a patch 2 that will allow you to upgrade no matter what Jun 2020 release you have.

Hi

After installing upgrade for Qliksense June 2020 patch 4. We notice that some extension does not work like qlik-variable-input and qlik-date-picker.

In Monitoring app, it say that Command=Get Layout; Result=-128

What can we do to troubleshoot this error better? Is it cause by this upgrade patch or not?

Thank you in advance

@TonySiao Are you using Master Dimensions in these objects? If yes, please try renaming the Master Dimensions and see if that resolves the issue.
