Qlik NPrinting June 2017 is now available

Hello all NPrinting users,

Qlik NPrinting June 2017 is now available on our download site.  This release is the latest release for NPrinting and it includes several bug fixes.  Please see the attached release notes for details regarding the bug fixes and the new features introduced in this version.

Qlik NPrinting June 2017 is also the first Qlik Release following our new naming convention. We will now name major releases with the month and year of release.

Will this version give the latest data when using local connections?  A problem that is highlighted in thread:

Nprinting doesn't refresh the data

This version contains the ability to schedule metadata reloads which should provide you with the most recent data.

Using QVP connections in conjunction with metadata reloads in previous versions will have provided up to date data as well.

Recommend upgrading to NP 17.4 and higher when available to utilize the capability to schedule metadata reloads in order to mitigate/eliminate data refresh issues.

When do you reckon that Cycling of Reports in NPrinting 17 will be available?

Cycling Reports (creates files for every value of dimensions).

At the moment you can use strings, dual fields or expressions (refer to Static and dynamic filters ‒ Qlik NPrinting). Maybe you can find a workaround by using expression.

Hi Jana!

I just implemented a .NET command line tool that allows you to trigger NPrinting Tasks from QlikView QMC "External Task" section. It uses the official NPrinting API Calls.  Feel free to send me a message if you want to test the tool.
