Hi all QlikView users, this week is going to be a busy week with announcements and news, chief of which is the Initial Release [IR] of QlikView 12. Today on our download site you can take a look at the first GA release of the latest QlikView version. QlikView 12 builds on the proven success of 11.20 and includes the following:
- A common QIX engine, shared with Qlik Sense
- Security improvements - QlikView 12 has been "hardened" in order to meet the exacting security requirements of government defense departments
- Improved clustering - shared file caching
- Mobile touch improvements
- Online help file
- 64bit (except for the plugin, QlikView 12 is 64bit only)
Please see the attached Release Notes for QlikView 12 and read them carefully. As with any IR of a new major version, we recommend thorough testing and validation of your documents and environment before any upgrade decision is taken.
