Hey @Jamie_Gregory ,

When you upload a QVW to SaaS, it converts the file to a QVF. Previously, there was not a way to modify these converted QVF's. You can now bring them into QlikView to make changes and reimport the files back into SaaS. They cannot be used on AccessPoint.

Regarding the QVF format, do you know if there is any 'easy way' to know if an app has been created by (/can be opened with) QlikView or Qlik Sense?

Many thanks,
Riccardo

@rzenere_avvale Sure! There are a couple places.

The details of the app include Type, which would either be QlikView or Qlik Sense. Also, when you export the app, the extension will either be .qvw.qvf or .qvf. The former would be opened in QlikView and the latter in Qlik Sense.

Depending on whether you use images for the tiles, the converted file will show an image that you should be able to tell is QlikView. The Qlik Sense apps seem to use the same image for tile. You can tell I don't use images for my app tiles 😄

Maybe if you do use images, you can modify the image with a QV logo or something so you can easily tell where it came from. 🙂

I installed the May 2021 version as an upgrade to the previous version.  When I create an app and go to add data, the Qlik Datamarket icon is now missing.  Is anyone else having the same issue and, if it has been resolved (i.e., you can access the Qlik Datamarket), what was the solution?

Thanks in advance...

I guess because it is retired by the end of this month?

Thank you - I missed that announcement. 🙂 Now I can stop worrying that something had gone hideously wrong with the installation. 👍
