Hello community,

Regarding the end of support of IE-plugin on Edge in Jan 2023, any idea if there will be a new release or no other solution that to let go IE-plugin functionalities ?

Hello @Safa_Guedria

Do you mean Microsoft's disabling of Internet Explorer as per https://learn.microsoft.com/en-us/deployedge/edge-ie-mode?

If so, running Edge in IE mode is what Microsoft recommends and what Qlik will also require. See QlikView on Qlik Cloud: open documents using the IE-plugin via Edge Chromium and Run Microsoft Edge in IE-mode to be able to use QlikView's Internet Explorer plugin.

All the best,
Sonja

Hi 🙂

"run Edge in IE mode"

I'm doing exactly like this, but now I can no longer work action buttons (activation) for Excel or button to load the application in EDX. Nothing happens.

In the past this worked and in the case of EDX a command prompt was visible opening and closing very quickly.

Please: - Do you know what it could be?

Thank you

Hi @milton_forte ,

the problem you describe, could it be this one?

https://community.qlik.com/t5/Official-Support-Articles/quot-Open-URL-quot-and-quot-Launch-quot-disa...

With newer version some actions are not allowed, due to security risks. We don't have any problem with Plugin+Edge.

The setting is user dependent so you have to change every settings.ini from every user.

Kind regards

Peter Hübschen
