Hi All,

I am trying to extract data from Google analytics api after seeing in the community i have downloaded the tgoogleanalyticsinput component and added to the talend after that i gave the component details please find the screen shot ( i gave user account email also here i removed in the screenshot and i have google analytics access also and client secret file also i given in the path) and after execution error screen shot attached.

Please help me regarding this and provide the document or video will be more helpful

Hi,

As an alternate, you can try to extract the Google Analytics data through a Talend routine by using the code specified in Analytics Reporting API v4.

https://developers.google.com/analytics/devguides/reporting/core/v4/quickstart/service-java

But if you want to use the custom code itself, I would suggest you to contact the developer who created the custom component.

Hi Thampi,

Thanks for the reply But i am not using service account.

I am using "Client ID for Native Application" as Authentication methodclient ID for Native App

and i gave the user account email as " my email id " and i have access to google analytics also

Client secret file also i saved in the path

View_Id: also given

Api version :version 4

start date: "2018-01-01"

end date: "2018-02-01"

i have checked the use json report request template

setup report template "read from input field below as plain text"

After executing it is redirected to the webbrowser and i am allowing to fetch GA_fetcher data then i am getting error.

Please find the error screen below.

Hi,

It is showing a null pointer exception. Have you added all the details correctly to the component? It seems some information is missing.

Hi Madhu,

Please understand that Talend community is a group of like minded Talend professionals who are trying to help each other and to learn from different solutions. We all are doing it as hobby in between our normal work just to take break or as a hobby.

But please note that there is no SLA involved in this and Talend community members don't contact by emails unless in rare occasions. In your case, it is a custom component built by one of the Talend community member. So the best thing will be to get the help from the author of that component itself through Talend community.
