Hello,

Here exists a jira issue about "Support for DB2 Continuous Data Ingest". Let us know if it helps?

Hi but your post isn't the solution instead it don't work! This component has a bug.

I would to know as use it and it do something, because in the actual situation this component don't work very well on local or on server.

Can I use it? in the suite of DB2 there isn't the component of tDB2BulkOutputExec (as in Oracle there is the component tOracleBulkOutputExec) that prepare the datas for the component tDB2BulkExec.

Can you help me?

Have you testing this component and it work well?

Regards,

Daniele

Hi Daniele,

In the latest version of Talend also tDBBulkOutputExec is available for below DBs and unfortunately DB2 is not in that list.

The list of DBs are determined by Talend product team based compatibility and various other factors. The only Bulk component available for DB2 is tDB2BulkExec. Please refer the details from the help document about the working process of this component and Abhishek has already provided the details.

HI!, I know very well the document on this component, I have tried to test it without ingest command and with ingest command and don't work!

This component, probably, has a bug, because also when it doesn't go in error and the job starts and finishes, it don't write nothing on DB and I pass a file also don't so big, with only 10/20 records to test it because we would to extend this component to our compless Job.

I try to be some clear...

FIRST STEPS:

I have inserted the connection to db via context with all parameters.

I have defined the table where I want insert the datas and the action on table "nothing" or "clean table".

I have defined the schema of table, it is a table test with 3 columns where are all VARCHAR;

In first time I haven't used the ingestion command therefore I have to insert the path.

The path that i must insert there is local or on server? In Local I have tried with "C/TOS DI 6.4.2/Workspace/<name file>.csv" or"C/TOS DI 6.4.2/Workspace/<name file>.txt" or on another partition disk "D:/Talend/Workspace/<name file>.csv" or "D:/Talend/Workspace/<name file>.txt" but goes in error as I haven't the permission to write on table but it isn't so because i have all grants on table.

SECOND STEPS:

I have tried to use the ingestion command. In this case I have inserted same path and path for script as "C:/" or "D:/" and I have tried to do some "Action on data" as insertion, replacing, merging, or updating with a positional file or a delimited file but doensn't go in error but it starts and finishes without error and without insert nothing records on my table.

The file is a delimited file with 3 column, with "," separator, type UNIX, UTF-8 with BOM.

Must the file to be of another type? Where do you think that I am doing errors? Can you help me?

Do you think that i must export all on a build job and launch it on server?

In this case the path where i insert the file must to be located in the same directory where i build the job or it isn't important?!
