Viewing data in Hive tables inside Talend

Hi All,

What are the different ways to view Hive tables in Integration perspective.

Also, can we also view the hive tables in profiling perspective?

Hello,

The databases you can analyze from the Studio include Hive.

You can analyze the content of a database to have an overview of the number of tables in the database, rows per table and indexes and primary keys. So far, you can not display the key details of tables in a Hive connection.

Hi Sabrina,

My query is how to view the data in the Hive data inside the Integration and Profiling perspective?

Is there an option to right click some component and preview data?

Thanks

Hello,

If you often need to use a database table from Hive, then you may want to centralize the connection information to the Hive database and the table schema details in the Metadata folder in the Repository tree view.

Please have a look at this online document about:TalendHelpCenter:Centralizing Hive metadata and feel free to let us know if it is what you are looking for.

Best regards

Sabrina
