[resolved] Case sensitive issue in primary key

Hi ,
File1.csv
name;
vinoth

File2.csv
name1;type2
VINOTH;In-house
ANTONY;External
if name field of file1.csv matches with name1 of file2.csv , type2 value should be assigned to a variable

if vinoth == VINOTH , i should get the value of "In-house"

We have case sensitive issue , one field is in small case and another field is in upper case
Please help me
Thanks & Regards,
Vinoth Kumar K

In your comparison use something like the following.....

row1.field.trim().compareToIgnoreCase(row2.field.trim())==0

The above will check that the values held by the fields hold the same values ignoring case and extra spaces at the beginning or end of the String.
