Comparing data from selected month and previous month using Two tables and One Filter Pane

Hi,

I want to compare the data from selected month and previous month. If July is selected, I want one table to show data from July, and another table to show data from June.

The two tables are from different sources. Both tables are now showing data for selected month.

Thank you for your time!

As usual, thank you so much for the detailed answer.

I have also used Num() before but it's still not working because I was adding them as Measures.

Thank you so much for your help.

I have some questions. Why do we need to use this as Dimensions?
I have a few columns where I need to use SUM().
In those cases, what kind of approach should I use?

Hello,

I am glad to hear that this workaround has helped you achieve the outcome that you were looking for. I believe that we are using it as Dimension due to the differences among Dimensions and Measures. This post [1], might give you some further details regarding the differences, however if you would like a deeper explanation then you might have to create a new post with that question, since other community members might be able to assist you or other community members will be able to benefit from the answer provided there. As far as it concerns the "Sum()", you will not be able to use it in Dimension as you will get an "Invalid dimension" error message. However, you can try to use it as Measure. If the result is not the one that you are expecting, then you can include this as well in the new post, since the question is different than the one raised in this thread.

I hope that this information was helpful.
