NPrinting Pivot Table - Excel Format with Blank Columns

Hello everyone,

I'm looking for some guidance on building a new report in Qlik NPrinting with a specific structure:

My requirements are:

  • Field1 and Field2 need to originate from a pivot table.

  • I also need to include some blank columns to visually separate different groups of measures within the report.

Here's what I've attempted so far and the challenges I've encountered:

  1. Using a Pivot Table object from Qlik Sense:

    • Challenge: I've found it impossible to add blank columns. Qlik NPrinting seems to treat the entire pivot table object as a single entity, preventing individual columns from being dragged into the designer.

  2. Using a Straight Table in Qlik Sense and applying Excel operations:

    • Approach: I managed to achieve the pivot table structure for Field1 and Field2 by using a Straight Table in Qlik Sense and then applying pivot operations in Excel.

    • Challenge: When I try to add the measures from the Straight Table, NPrinting prints them below the previously created pivot table. It seems like NPrinting processes content from left to right.

  3. Adding Blank Columns directly in the Pivot Table object. While that does the trick, cell borders override the blank columns as shown in the figurealexquimu_2-1752847122504.png

Does anyone have any ideas? Thanks in advance.

Regards,

Alex

Hi, I would try to use the straigth table in Sense as source by levels, and using this levels create the pivot structure using the full straight table fields, using specific columns, not the full table.

I'm not sure how the background colors would work as expected, I don't have a NPrinting server to make tests.

Hey, @rubenmarin

Sorry for the late reply. I'll give levels a try to see if that helps, but I don't think I can meet the background color requirement

Thank you for your time.

Greetings,

Alex
