On-demand App Generation(ODAG) in QlikSense - Data source as .CSV

Hello Everyone,

Can the data Source for the app can be a .CSV or a QVD may be while using ODAG? or it has to a connection to database?

I read that On-demand apps enable's us to load and analyze big data sources in Qlik Sense but my current app is loading from daily incoming CSV's. 

please help

Hi,
ODAG is mainly used when you are connecting to database and load the big volume of data. but to answer you can point to any source.

Yes, you can connect to CSVs (or QVDs). The ODAG example found in C:\ProgramData\Qlik\Examples\OnDemandApp\sample (Qlik Sense Server) uses QVDs for reference.
