Qlik Custom Theme Throwing Invalid Value for the following field: Type error

Hi,

I'm getting this error (Invalid value for the following field: type) when I import my custom theme as an extension in Qlik.  I've read all the previous community posts I could find that have this same error listed but none of the suggested corrections have fixed my issue.

I've created a custom template using both sensetheme.com and qsthemecreator.azurewebsites.net.  Regardless of where I create the theme I get the same error.  I have the theme folder zipped and in the Qlik\Sense\Extensions folder on my computer.

I have update the qext file to change the type from "theme" to "visualization" as a troubleshooting step.  When I do that the extension uploads just fine.  Of course, when I change it back and try to upload it again it fails for the same reason.

Any suggestions?

I figured it out.  I was trying to upload it under the Extension section but should have been uploading it under the Theme section.  It works now.

Try Manually Placing the Theme

Instead of importing via QMC, try placing the unzipped theme folder manually.

Or you can test with sample theme and try once

I did try to put the unzipped folder in the extension folder but it doesn't show as a selection in Qlik either.
