Scheduler tab in Document properties

Hello All,

I was curious about the scheduler tab in the document properties (QV 11).

What is the purpose for this tab in Document properties? How can it be used? It looks similar to scheduling on QMC.

It can be used by QMC as a deafult schedule.

That means it's of no use without QMC?

Also does QMC uses this functionality to schedule, i.e. if QV does not have this tab then we can not schedule the jobs on QMC as well?

Document Properties: Scheduler

On this tab a default reload schedule for the document in QlikView Server can be proposed.

Preferred Schedule

In this drop-down menu set the schedule for how often the document should be reloaded. The schedule can be set to None, Run Once, Hourly, Daily, Weekly and Monthly. Then set the details of the schedule, such as start time, days of the week etc, in the fields below.

Note: This functionality is not supported in QlikView 11.20.

Correct, it doesn't do anything without QMC.

You can use QMC regardless if there is anything in the QV document on this tab.  It is just a default.  That means that a developer recommends this schedule.  On the QMC level, you're free to use or ignore it.

(I've never used this tab.)
