After we premiere the full conversation with Sadiestay for an interactive discussion, on leadership and mentorship, taking place in the comments below.

Please share, your thoughts on leadership and mentorship!

I have a few thought provoking questions to get us started:

Just re-signed up for the Qlik Community so I could join this one. Qlikview was where so much of my career started — I built my first real operational dashboards in it and it changed how I thought about data storytelling. Seeing what Sadie has built with Women in Data and the Human Machine Collaboration Institute is exactly the kind of leadership conversation I need right now. See you on the 26th.

I 100% agree with you @StephanieR.  Sometimes you need to go down one path to understand where you want to be.

Sometimes I think changing direction might be feel like a risk but you will never know where it will take you.  I took a risk in moving to IT had have not looked back on that.  Interesting Sadie did a similar move

I love these questions Sarah! I think both a risk and skill is always to spot new opportunities both in terms of career and also trying new things.

That's why I moved from PR/ AR to Social Media and now to expand to advocacy and community - they are all integrated and together they can make a much bigger impact.

The biggest difference is to always understand what is critical to the business in terms of objectives and strategy and then think of how your role impacts that and what we can measure.  I believe that enables you not to be the "marketing person who talks about engagements" but puts your role and work into context.
