    Hi,

I want to be able to find duplicated records within a table with around 100 fields.

I have a table with over 100 fields and i have a script that finds duplicated ID's but I want to know which field is responsible for the duplication.

    ID Mobile Number Cost
    10045022 07842479330 32,100

There's a date field that has some inflated values like 8/15/57263 and similarly there are ~1000+ records. Along with these inflated values there's also values coming in format of MM/DD/YYYY. When taken a list box and exported this field to excel the values with 8/15/57263 comes as ########### and when hover over, it says 'Dates and times that are negative and too large are shown as ####### . On the table viewer this date field is integer. I want to change these inflated values to date format of 'MM/DD/YYYY' and also keep the other values too in the field. Any help is appreciated.

(Apologies, this was posted earlier but was my post was so full of flaws, I removed it).

I am trying to show a graph of tickets raised over a periiod of time.  In my data I have zero 'Open' tickets in October and as a result October does not show on my graph.

I have tried a 'Master Calendar' which works until a filter is applied.  -

I have also read about adding + sum({1}0) to my measure.

    Count({<[Status]={'Open'}>}id) + sum({1}0)

and setting the Addons -> Data Handling -> Include zero values

    Hello!

At my company we are seeing an issue with our QV applications where DocumentChaining will sometimes fail, returning a 'Failed to open document, file not found.'

When you go from APP1 to APP2, we use the transfer state option to transfer the value of the APP1 DocumentName() to APP2, so that the user can then return to APP1 with an Open Qlikview Document action.

The problem is, it seems this variable sometimes does not get transferred from APP1 to APP2, resulting in a null variable value in APP2.

Both apps have the variable stored in the variable editor and are in the same path. It also works flawlessy in Desktop Client.

We are using APRIL 2020 SR3 QV version, is anyone aware of any bug with this version causing variables not to be transferred via document chaining and transfer state option? Does anybody know of a workaround?

Hello.  I'm sorry as I'm sure this question is asked a lot but I wanted to get everyone's opinion on the best way to learn Qlik Sense. Here are the questions I have:

    1) Data Transformations - I'm used to performing data transformations using Power Query which visualizes the data and has a drag and drop interface.  From my limited research, it looks like Qlik uses a scripting language to transform data prior to integrating it into a data model.  This seems like it will require a good amount of time to learn.  Is it better to spend that time learning the QLIK Scripting language or should I just learn how to do it in SQL and then bring in the data?  I am sure there are pros and cons to both but in the short-term I'm probably only going to bother learning one and I wanted to know what is preferred among Qlik Users?

    2) Training - What courses have people used to learn Qlik Sense?  Are there known youtubers?  I saw Qlik Sense has a free business analyst video set.  I watched a few introduction videos and most of it is pretty intuitive.

The two areas I'm struggle with is understanding how filtering works in Qlik Sense but I think I just need more practice playing with data.  The big area of focus is to understand the lexicon (what functions are available in Qlik Sense, how they work) and the syntax in Qlik Sense so I can write functions/play around with it.

    Thank you for your time!

    Hi All,

How to sort data based on leading zeros and not the actual number in qlik

    Below is my example

    Item Num
    0064
    000670402
    0065FR
    CS-CD-PSW-10-00
    010240410

The data should be sorted based on number of zeros at the start in ascending order.

My final output should be like the below table

    Item Num
    000670402
    0064
    0065FR
    010240410
    CS-CD-PSW-10-00

Note : This is just an example . I have more that 30000 item numbers like this and i want to sort based on number of leading zeros

April Fools' Day is the favorite holiday of which animal? The silly goose! Happy April, everyone!

This month, we spotlight a Qlik Community member using the platform for 17 years. The statistics I'm about to share began in 2020 when he created a new profile. Since then, he has made almost 1,000 posts, solved hundreds of problems, and given and received countless likes. He's not only active in the forums, but he also belongs to like-minded Community groups. You may know him as QFabian. It's my pleasure to introduce our featured member for April, valued customer and Specialist III, Fabian Quezada. Here is his remarkable Qlik story in his own words.

During my free time, I like to observe the stars and planets within my reach and enjoy discovering the rings of Saturn and the colors of Jupiter. Then, I see all the data that is used and generated before and during the observation. With Qlik, everything is prepared for observation and discovery. Data and business rules are obtained and processed, and the results are graphed for analysis and discovery.

Qlik is an effective and proven way to deliver reliable data for decision-making in a friendly and intuitive interface in memory, and Qlik has been doing it for many years. Qlik's associative engine is unique and extraordinary. Whether you choose cloud, local, or hybrid, Qlik always delivers.

I have been a fan of the Qlik community for a long time. My current account isn't that old. I created the first one in 2007, but I lost it. Although many companies have community sites, Qlik is a pioneer in this regard, and the collaboration between Qlik personnel and the rest of the Community membership is impressive. Being part of the Community allows me to keep challenging my mind. I always try to provide quick and effective answers with detailed explanations and practical examples, just as I would like all cases I review to be when I seek to understand new concepts or encounter script challenges.

It's also important to note that being a member of the Qlik community makes me feel like I am part of something big.

Let's show Fabian how much we appreciate his contributions to the Qlik Community by commenting and hitting that like button. @QFabian @Sue_Macaluso @Melissa_Potvin @nicole_ulloa @Jamie_Gregory
