Is it possible to write a macro in the Personal Edition ? I cannot find how to open the Macro Editor.
Regards
No, I'm running PE QlikView 11.20 SR4, but that shouldn't make any difference. See below.
Please check whether editing macros is enabled in your currently opened document. Go to Settings->Document Properties->Security.
If everything checks out fine, there may be something wrong with your installation.
Best,
Peter
Hi
I don't know if macros work in PE. But try the shortcut Ctrl+M to open the dialog.
thanks
no such shortcut in the PE
should i infer there is no editor for macros ?
other inputs ?
in QlikView Desktop PE, first open an existing document or create a new one. Then press Ctrl-M or select Tools->Edit Module... from the menu bar.
Macros are embedded in the current document. No document open, no macros.
Good luck,
Peter
thanks
in PE, I have document open, Tools contains no Open Module option. CTRL M shortcut also not working.
Would you confirm what you say is for PE, QlikView 11 version ?
Thanks

Yes macros work in the Personal Edition
thanks
i have the Edit Module in Tools for some documents and not others,
some may be protected.
Try in below path:
First, Please create or open any QVW file and then go to
Tools --> Edit Module
