Is it possible to have selection saved in a bookmark that is based on a complex query ?
For instance, I want to select, each day, all sales data for the past 30 days. Is there a way to have a bookmark that will select the data for the last 30 days ?
What alternative solution is there for such a query ?
Best regards
If you use an advanced search in a field instead of selecting just values, a bookmark will save the search and will be as dynamic as your search expression.
Thanks for your answer! how do i do an advanced search in a field?
I would instead do it using a relative date, created in the script:
Today() - Date as DaysAgo,
then you can make a selection in this field
And save this in a bookmark. Read more on http://community.qlik.com/blogs/qlikviewdesignblog/2013/06/10/relative-calendar-fields

Agree with Henric. This is a nice solution whenever you can create something like a relative date in the script.
Sometimes this might not be easy to do, or you want to create a user bookmark without having the possibility to easily change the script.
Here is an example for a search string that does something similar.
edit: Apply the bookmark from the menu
Thanks. I can open the document and apply the bookmark. However,, how did you create this bookmark ?
In Current Selections you can see the search string:
=Date > max(total Date)-10
Just type this in the Date field search box, then save selection as a bookmark.
