So if you drill on 'allocations out' in 'Account rollup 3' it will jump straight to Acct 3 because the 2 levels between just have 1 value

It could be that only 1 value is in the top level , or your current selections have filtered it down to 1 value.

Drill down groups will auto-drill down when there is only 1 value... just as if you clicked the 1 value to drill down.

is there data for level 1? A sample application would help.

it would be the same behaviour whether its a single value in the top or middle, it will auto-drill to the level beneath until you encounter a level with more than 1 value, or you reach the bottom.

is this consistent with what you are seeing ?

try creating a pivot table with the 4 levels and checking that your drill path you are testing has 1 or more values where it appears to jump an extra level (or more) down.

Hi.

I don't like drill groups. You all know why.

Use a cyclic one instead.

Good luck.
