Cyrillic search not possible

Our developers have developed a dashboard for a Mongolian client and it is required that they be able to search using the Mongolian alphabet (2 extra characters to the normal Russian alphabet).

The text that shows in nondescript eg. ÁÈÃ ÑÊÀÉ ÊÀÏÈÒÀË

We have tried changing the font but it does help.

Has anyone got a suggestion on this?
