Upgrade Server from SR3 -> SR8, with Binaries on D-drive

Hi

we are running QV Server 11.2 SR3, with program_data on C:\ and Binaries on D:-Drive.

I now want to upgrade to QV Server 11.2 SR8.

Does the installer automatically detect and upgrade binaries on d-drive or not?

If not, do I have to deinstall SR3 and install SR8 from scratch?

Can you clarify what Binaries you are referring here?

Is it like end user Applications? If yes it will detect automatically.

If not please clarify.

If I just run the new version setup file, does it detect that we have:

- C:\ProgramData\QlikTech (Data is on C-Drive on the server)

- D:\Program Files\QlikView (Binaries are on D-Drive on the server)

I do not like to make a completely new installation.

hm, could you please test this out, there should be an official Information about using different drives for binaries, and upgrading procedures.
