Pie chart - have the absolute as well as the relative values?

Hi,

I have something very simple - just for a presentation: A piechart with four different types of costs.

- There is a checkbox "relative" to select to either have the absolute or the relative values in the charting_area - I have chosen the
relative values, I have the absolute values in a table above the chart.

- On the "presentation" tab, there is a checkbox to have the figures in the caption as well.

<=> These are also relative, I assume that's because I have chosen relative values on the other tab.

Is there a way to have the absolute values in the caption and the relative values in the charting_area (other than writing the values in a nr. of free_text_boxes)? That way, I could actually drop the table above and make the chart a bit bigger.

Thanks a lot!

Best regards,

you can duplicate your pie chart expression and make the first one "Relative" and the other "Absolute"

you can also add type of cost as a third expression.

Hi Jonathan,

duplicating the formula seems like a good idea.

Only then I have two values around the chart of course.

I would like only the relative values around the chart and the absolute values in the legend.

P.S.: Ah - I have it. I just unticked the "figures in chart" checkbox in the first formula, that way I have only those from the second formula - the relative ones - around the chart. Nevertheless, the legend uses the ones from the first formula - the absolute ones.

Thank you!

unfortunately, I haven't encountered a solution to that requirement. the numbers in pie chart legend take on

Relative/absolute form from expression property. I think this is by design.

you can use a listbox with expression as Legend to your chart, It can sit on top(Layout) of chart or right next to it.
