hightlighting rows in a table based on condition

      I'm brand new to Qlikview.....

I have a list that includes company names and addresses.    Another data element includes customer preference for US vs International.

How can I limit the addresses that show up based on the pre-populated value of customer preference?

          Could you provide samples?

            Hi Rick,

welcome to QlikView, I'm sure you are going to love it!

First of all, highlighting is different than limiting the list. I'll address the "limiting" question...

If this is a straight table (form of a chart), you can limit the list by applying a Set Analysis condition to all chart Expressions. For example:

            Count({<Preference = {US}>} CustomerID)

You can hide this Expression using the Presentation tab if it's not needed.

I don't think there is a good way to limit a Table box to the same condition.

Another, perhaps more basic solution, is to let the user make a Selection in the Preference field. Then, both the chart and the table box get limited to the selected value by default.

            cheers,
