Application not getting updated on Access Point

Hi All,

I am facing a strange issue where the Application on the Access Point is not updating.

I had made a copy of the application on the Access Point, made some changes and then renamed it to the existing application at the Access Point, but it is still referring to the older version without these changes.

It seems that the new changes made to the application are not reflected and the last updated date is 4 days old.

Is this related to the Share and Meta files?

Let me know if i am doing anything incorrectly.

Regards,

Diwakar

Are you using QlikView Publisher for reload and distribution?

Hi Peter,

No. Currently it is in Development phase. We make a copy of the Access Point App with full data, do the Development on the copy and then replace it with the Application on Access Point.

It used to work previously. Not sure why it is not working now.

We have also got a Publisher licence recently. But we are not using it.

Let me know if you need any more information.

Hi,

Try this,

Go to accesspoint>click on view details>remove last status & check whether document updated or not.

Hi Diwakar,

are you certain that you have placed the new .qvw in the same folder as the original?

Hi,

-stop the qvs and qvws from services.msc

  - then remove old qvw file and put new updated file.

   -then restart qvs and qvws.

   - Some time due to share file it does not replace the new file.

Hi,

I removed the last document state, i tried different browsers, I even renamed the App, but no luck.

Now the App is coming with the New name but the last modified date is still old.

Hi

Do it like below,

Move your shared & meta files from existing folder to some other backup place on your system.

& reload the application let new shared & meta file to be create on system.

Hopefully it will work but keep older shared & meta file backup first cause it will contain users details.

Hi All,

The below worked for me:

1. Stopped all the Services

2. Copied the App to my local

3. Made some minor change and saved it with a new name

4. Migrated this App Back and removed all unwanted files from the Application

5. Restarted all the Services

6. Reconfigured the Access Point for new application

Diwakar
