Solved: Frequent corruption of .shared files - Qlik Community

Hi,

Please help to understand why a shared file could get corrupted frequently?

We have cleaned the shared file but it is getting corrupted within a couple of days.

This should not be an issue in this release. Are you seeing any QVS restarts in the QVS event logs?

Hi Bill,

We don't see any QVS restarts in the even logs. But we have a scheduled weekly restart of services to bring down the RAM consumption.

Could that be the reason behind corruptions?

No, I would think this would cause the issue. Can you post the log file from were you cleaned it?

I'm sorry but I can't provide the log as it is restricted. What can cause junk characters to appear in shared files?
