Dimension value in expression label of pivot table

Hi,

i created a pivot table having 2 dimensions and 2 value fields. What i am trying to do is having the value of the dimension month also in the label of the 2 expressions. The label should look like "Sum of rev in Jan 2011" / "Sum of volume in Jan 2011".

Maybe someone got an idea how do it.

Example is attached.

Cheers Markus

Try this: ='Sum of rev in ' & maxstring(month)

Hi Vlad,

idea points into the rigth direction i think but produces not the output i would expect.

Now every expression label has month January.

Oops, sorry about that, I wasn't thinking clearly! What you're trying to do can't work. To see why, unpivot the table so all dimensions are columns. QlikView logically always sees a pivot table the same way as if it were unpivoted so the expression label itself does not have a dimension applied to it. You therefore can't check the month in the expression label (although you can in the expression itself).

Sorry for the confusion.

Actually, here's how you do it 🙂 But it's kind of a convoluted method.
