Currently we are using Qlikview Webserver and are looking to upgrade to the new version. Eventually we are thinking we will need to change to use IIS instead of the QV webserver. We want to go ahead and upgrade as is without worrying about IIS. Is it possible to install and run IIS but have the QV webserver installed also just the service turned off? Could there be any problems with doing that? Or should we try and wait and do the upgrade at the same time as the install of IIS so that we only have one webserver installed?
If you want to install IIS on the same machine then your best course of action is to reinstall Qlikview on that server and choose IIS as preferred webserver during the install.
If you want to use IIS on a different server you'll need to do a custom install of Qlikview on that server. See this discussion: How to configure Qlikview 10 IIS Web Server (Accesspoint) on different computer ?
