DYNAMIC STRAIGHT TABLE WITH SELECTED FIELDS

Dear Friends!

I have a Table with Number of Employees   ( in each Department)

I have  Years and Months!

i need to show  number of employees  month wise  in a straight table

but on my selection

if i select  year  2015 it should show  numbers of employees in  jan , feb , march April and may

if i select year  2015 and month  jan and march  ... i need  the data of selection

any idea please share

Is Year and Month your dimension or are you creating different expressions for each month and year? If they are dimension, they should automatically reduce to your selection. If they are not then you can keep some restrictive conditions on each of the expression (but having them as expressions wouldn't make too much sense). Would you be able to share some sample here?

no in my dimention i put  department

and in expression i have  year and month

You should be able to restrict each of your expression based on a selection with something like this:

For a Jan 2015 expression you can use a conditional hide/show condition like this:

SubStringCount(Concat(Month, ','), 'Jan') = 1 and SubStringCount(Concat(Year, ','), '2015') = 1
